2. What BetterSelf does
BetterSelf helps you choose or create challenges, organise daily tasks, build routines, and understand your progress. It is a personal organisation and motivation app; it does not provide medical, psychological, or professional advice.

3. Account and app data
If you create an account or join a group, BetterSelf may process your email address or sign-in identifier, profile information, challenge selections, tasks, routines, completion history, reminders, group memberships, reactions, and content you choose to share. Optional progress photos are used only for your personal documentation or the sharing feature you select.

4. Supabase
BetterSelf uses Supabase for backend services. Depending on the features you use, Supabase may provide authentication, the database used for account and challenge data, and storage for content you choose to upload. Group features may also use Supabase Realtime for live updates. Data is processed to provide the requested app features, keep accounts secure, and synchronise your BetterSelf data across devices.

Supabase processes data on our behalf under applicable data-processing terms. Access to user data is restricted according to the app’s authorisation rules. We do not place Supabase secret or service-role keys in the public app. For technical background, see Supabase’s Privacy Policy.

5. Service providers and purchases
We may use Vercel to host this website, Apple or Google to process app-store purchases, and a subscription-management provider where needed to manage entitlements. Each provider processes information under its applicable privacy terms. We do not receive your full payment-card details from the app stores.

6. Website logs
When you visit betterself.mehrbytes.com, Vercel may process technically necessary information such as IP address, time of access, requested page, browser, operating system, referrer, and server logs to deliver and protect the website.

7. Legal basis and retention
Depending on the purpose, processing is based on contract performance, legitimate interests in secure operation, consent, or a legal obligation under Article 6 GDPR. We retain account and challenge data while your account or the relevant feature is active and afterwards only where needed for legal obligations, dispute handling, or legitimate security purposes.

8. Your rights
You may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data and may object to or restrict certain processing where the legal requirements are met. You may withdraw consent at any time. Contact us at info@mehrbytes.com. You also have the right to complain to a data-protection supervisory authority.

9. Changes
We may update this policy when BetterSelf, its providers, or the legal requirements change. The current version is published on this page.
